How To Get A Paying Client This Week
This is a simple process I use to find people who have the problem I know I can help them solve.
This week I’m going to be super practical.
I’m walking you through a simple process I’ve done to get leads and clients in one week.
You can do this too.
We’re going to do a very simple, very low key outreach system.
No pitching, just a simple way to find people who have the exact problem you can solve.
Ready?
Let’s go.
Paid Subscribers: Watch out this week you’ll be getting my full process on selling through webinars.

Monday’s Tasks
This is the hardest day as it’s the prep day.
Preparing your system but also preparing the prospects.
It’s the most important day.
Task 1: Compile a list
You will need to collect a list of prospects from your existing network. These people should already know you so they may be prospects that…
Have engaged with your content
Been connected or following you
Subscribe your email list
This list is important, without it you won’t be able to follow the process. You want to get between 50 and 100 prospects into a spreadsheet.
I use GoggleCRM for this, as I can upload a list into a workflow which turns my prospecting into a daily checklist of to-do’s. It makes my work easier on LinkedIn and my other channels.
Over the next few days we are going to run a process to capture interest and without this list, you’ll never be able to this.
Task 2: Engage with their content
Today, you’re going to go to all of their profiles and put down killer comments. Not just a “great post” or “love it” you are going to put your heart into it. 20+ words. You want the prospects to notice you and take note of your comment.
Do this with everyone on your list.
This isn’t optional. It’s the reason the outreach works.
Wednesday’s Tasks
Today, we are going to outreach to prospects, but not before we do one more thing.
Task 1: Like one of their posts
Using your same list, you are now going to like one of their posts. It can be an old post, a recent post, but you’re going to like a post.
Don’t overthink it.
This just helps you get a little bit more of their attention before the outreach.
This will take some time but it is worth it.
Task 2: Outreach
Now, I’m not a fan of pitching strangers, hence why I said to pick a list of people who already know you. The engagement we have done on Monday and Tuesday was to help raise our visibility before we outreach.
Now, we are going to send two short and simple outreach messages.
Send this:
I help a lot of [type of person] like you, who are [describe the problem they're stuck with] and want to [outcome they care about].
Then immediately after we will send this one:
Is that something you’re struggling with too?
Why two messages and not one?
When you send a message if previews the first line. We don’t want the first line to be a reason to ignore us. So, if you send it in two, they see the preview of the second line.
All we are doing here is asking a question.
We’re not pitching.
We’re just asking a question.
If you don’t ask, you don’t get.
You get a Yes
Great!
Someone is saying they have the problem you solve. Don’t blow it now by diving into a sales pitch.
DO NOT WAIT. You want to reply promptly and seize the moment. If you wait they may go offline and you might miss your moment.
You want to invite them to a call in a really low key way.
When they reply to this one, I simply suggest a 15-minute slot:
“Are you free this afternoon for 15minutes? Say 2:30?”
They will either say yes or no.
If you don’t get a reply or they go quiet move to Thursday.
Thursday Task
This is an easy day, it’s a nudge to get their attention.
Engage with their content
Now it’s time to like and comment on another post.
Don’t chicken out.
Just do it.
(Remember either GoggleCRM or your spreadsheet has the list of people you are working on.)
Friday: Follow Up
This is now our final sweep of the list.
Today we are going to send this final message:
If you're looking to get [desired outcome], and want to see how it's worked for 114 other [target audience], just let me know - happy to share the approach with you.
If people reply, use this…
Probably easier to show you on screen, do you have 15-minutes this afternoon, say 2:30pm?
Try to explain or show it has helped other people like them.
Avoid making the messages long. Short and sweet wins the day.
TLDR
Monday:
Build a list (Spreadsheet or Goggle
Comment meaningfully on any post of theirs.
Wednesday:
Like a post of theirs
Send outreach (2 x messages one after another)
Deal with replies
No response (move to Thursday)
Thursday:
Like and Comment on a post of theirs
Friday:
Send follow up messages
I’ve done this process many times. It works.
If you need leads and clients, they are probably already in you network.
Don’t be afraid to ask.
You never know, someone might say Yes!
Good luck this week implementing this.
PS - I run longer versions of this when I’m targeting corporate or higher ticket prospects, this is just a simple one you can start with.
Stay tuned for more.
