How LinkedIn's AI helps me close more deals.
LinkedIn has an AI tool that actually helps me close more deals.
LinkedIn’s post-writing AI is like asking a robot to write poetry - it just doesn’t work.
If you’ve ever tried it, you know exactly what I mean.
It takes generic to a whole new level.
But LinkedIn has another AI tool that actually helps me close more deals.
The first time I used it, I genuinely couldn’t believe how much of a difference it made.
I started using it as part of my outreach, and my response rates went up by 27%.
Now, having used it almost daily, I’m closing more deals and getting way more conversations.
I wish LinkedIn had launched it sooner.
Sales Navigator AI
Most people think Sales Navigator is just a search tool.
They look people up, send a few messages, and wonder why nothing happens.
That’s a waste of its potential.
For me, it’s a sales engine.
It helps me find the right people, understand their priorities, and craft outreach that gets replies.
It also helps me keep track of where I’m up to with prospects - but that’s another article (you need to subscribe to get that one).
Before Account IQ, I was drowning in research, spending hours digging through reports just to craft a decent message.
Now, I can see exactly what my prospects care about and how my offer fits their business better.
What is Account IQ?
Account IQ is part of Sales Navigator Advanced (£120 a month).
Some think that’s expensive.
I don’t. It saves time, makes outreach more effective, and increases my chances of closing deals.
It helps me close more deals, so it’s £120 well spent.
When you visit a company’s profile on Sales Navigator (Advanced), it loads up insights LinkedIn’s AI has compiled from news and their website.
It gives me a dashboard of insights.
Here’s how I use it:
It tells me how a company makes money – So I can align my pitch with their revenue streams.
It reveals their priorities – Pulled from reports, websites, and online sources, so I know what matters to them.
It highlights their biggest challenges – So I can position my service as the solution.
I can tailor my outreach to their business and what’s going on with them right now.
When my message speaks directly to their priorities, I get more replies, leading to more meetings and more won deals.
The Account IQ Update
Recently, LinkedIn made this feature even better.
The latest update to Account IQ includes AI that scans my website, analyses my services, and matches them with my target companies.
Here’s what I do:
I load my service pages into Sales Navigator.
When you click the “Generate Insights,” you can add URLs from specific pages on your website.
I load in my core service offerings - service pages.
LinkedIn’s AI finds the fit.
With a click, LinkedIn’s AI scans my service pages, finds the best fit, and practically hands me a cheat sheet for my outreach.
It tells me how I can position that service for that business.
LinkedIn’s AI is dovetailing my service to their priorities and challenges.
I’d never be able to do this as quickly as LinkedIn can.
These insights help me craft better outreach and give me a clear steer on how to position what I’m selling so more prospects see value in talking.
Instead of guessing, I can write messages which speak right to their pain points.
Rather than spending hours of research, I’m getting insights in seconds.
But There’s One Catch…
If your website reads like a corporate buzzword bingo card, this AI won’t save you.
If Sales Navigator can’t understand what you do, neither will your prospects.
So before using this, I made sure my service pages clearly explained:
What I do.
Who I help.
Why it matters.
The clearer you are, the better LinkedIn’s AI works for you.
Now, I craft messages based on real-time insights.
Before, I would spend time researching often outdated information.
With Account IQ, I get up-to-date insights in seconds.
Instead of sending generic messages or guessing, I can stand out from all the other things in their inboxes, show I’ve done some homework, and create the curiosity that makes them see a conversation with me as worth their time.
Since using the new AI feature, I’ve seen…
✅ More responses – Because my outreach is more relevant.
✅ More meetings booked – Because prospects see the value immediately.
✅ More deals closed – Because I position my offer in a way that makes sense to them.
If you sell high-value services or enterprise deals, this tool is a must.
“But Dean, Sales Navigator Advanced is £120 a Month, that’s a lot”
It is.
If you’re just using it for basic searches - it’s a waste.
But if you want to:
Reach the right people.
Craft messages that actually get read.
Increase your chances of closing deals.
...then it’s worth every penny.
PS - This Account IQ feature is still rolling out, so there are some companies yet to get it on their pages, but it is growing more and more each month.
