Types Of Polls
I’m pretty sure you’ve seen polls on LinkedIn before.
Polls are great tools to engage an audience.
You’ve probably even had a go at them.
One of the big frustrations people have is that they try them out and struggle to get votes.
The most common reason people struggle with this is simple - the polls are too complicated.
Polls have to be simple and easy to answer in seconds.
Long-winded, complicated questions don’t stand a chance.
But there isn’t just one type of poll.
Engagement Polls - Broad polls which engage the wider LinkedIn audience to drive up your visibility and reach. They don’t have to be questions about what breakfast cereal you like, you solicit opinions on a broader issue.
Loaded Polls - A poll which fishes to see who resonates with the challenges you can help with. The aim is these polls get people to identify with an issue so you can start a conversation.
Promo Polls - A poll around a specific challenge your audience faces with a promotion in the post copy. These aren’t easy to do unless you’ve built and engaged audience.
